Bahrain’s High Criminal Court has given life sentences to three individuals, one of whom is a woman, for “collaborating” with Iran, as reported by state media.
Prosecutors claimed the woman was in “contact” with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and aimed to execute “hostile terrorist activities” in Bahrain.
In a different case, two defendants were sentenced to life in prison for supporting “terrorist activities,” which involved transferring money and sharing information with the IGRC and Iranian intelligence services.
Another ten individuals in separate cases received prison sentences of up to ten years for “supporting and endorsing Iranian terrorist attacks” against Bahrain, sharing forbidden information, and capturing images of restricted locations. A few received fines reaching 2,000 Bahraini Dinars (approximately $5,299), and three individuals risk deportation from Bahrain after serving their sentences.
