President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he has communicated with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and characterized their relationship as “very good.”
“I have a solid relationship with Kim Jong Un, quite discreet.” Trump informed reporters on Air Force One during his flight back from China.
When asked if he communicated with him, Trump responded: “Yes.”
“It’s irrelevant; I won’t disclose that,” Trump responded when asked how often they have conversed.
“His behavior towards our country has been respectful.” I desire for him to show respect. “Trump stated, “He has shown respect for our nation.”
Trump informed reporters that he had talked about North Korea with Chinese President Xi Jinping while in Beijing.
The president’s remarks follow months after the North Korean leader asserted that the US conflict with Iran validates his nation’s choice to retain its nuclear arsenal, accusing Washington of “state-sponsored terrorism and aggression” in a speech where he did not refer to Iran directly.
