Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth informed lawmakers on Tuesday that he will accompany President Donald Trump on his forthcoming visit to China, occurring amidst doubts regarding the ceasefire with Iran.
When questioned about the situation regarding arms sales to Taiwan, Hegseth stated, “The president is about to embark on a trip, and I will accompany him, and he will handle all decisions regarding that.”
Trump is anticipated to depart Washington for Beijing later today.
On Tuesday, Iran’s envoy to China stated that Beijing “could play a significant role in easing tensions” between the US and Iran.
