Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries on Monday pledged that House Democrats would persist in opposing the spending bill that progressed in the Senate over the weekend and supported Chuck Schumer’s management of the situation.
“As House Democrats, we recognize we are aligned with the American people in this struggle, and we refuse to back a partisan Republican spending bill that undermines the health care of Americans. We will persist in our efforts to extend the tax credits for the Affordable Care Act,” he stated during a press conference at the Capitol.
Jeffries supported his Senate counterpart, Minority Leader Schumer, who rejected the agreement but continues to encounter criticism inside the party.

When asked on Monday if he thought Schumer was doing a good job and if he should retain his position, Jeffries replied, “Yes and yes.”
He subsequently stated, “Hey, over the past seven weeks, Leader Schumer and Senate Democrats have fought bravely for the American people, and I won’t go into what a small group of Senate Democrats has chosen to do. “That’s the reasoning they present to the American public.”
Jeffries mentioned that House Democrats would gather as a caucus on Monday and anticipated a presentation on the funding bill from Rep. Rosa DeLauro, the leading Democratic appropriator in the House
