The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that an Israeli soldier lost his life in a Hezbollah drone attack in southern Lebanon today.
The soldier was identified by the military as 19-year-old Sergeant Liem Ben Hamo, a combat soldier in the Golani Brigade’s 13th Battalion. It has been reported that the family of the fallen soldier has been informed.
“According to the statement, another IDF soldier was moderately wounded in the incident where Sergeant Liem Ben Hamo was killed.”
The wounded soldier “was transported to the hospital for medical care, and his family has been informed,” it stated.
In a different event, a Hezbollah drone hit a military vehicle in northern Israel, wounding 12 soldiers, the Israeli military reported earlier.
On Thursday, Israeli strikes resulted in the deaths of at least nine individuals, including two children, in southern Lebanon, as reported by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health. Xenix News has contacted the Israeli military for a response.
